Storm Water Invades the Den

When storms roll through the Winston Salem area they can bring with them torrential rain and flash flooding. Typically rising water is not covered by insurance. In this example we were charged with extracting the water, removing the water soaked carpet pad and drying the carpet and slab. We still follow the same IICRC protocols for drying structure and contents the same as we would for an insurance claim. In this case the carpet pad will need to be replaced. But restoring materials is more cost effective. Reducing the materials that have to be replaced also helps reduce repair costs to both the home owner and insurance.
